16-5873 16.2 Miscellaneous FileAPPROVING THE 2017 CITY COUNCIL MEETING SCHEDULE RECOMMENDATION: Reschedule the regular City Council meeting normally scheduled on July 24, 2017 to July 17, 2017; the regular meeting normally scheduled on August 14, 2017 to August 21, 2017; the regular meeting normally scheduled on October 09, 2017 to October 2, 2017; the regular meeting normally scheduled on November 27, 2017 to November 20, 2017; the regular meeting normally scheduled on December 25, 2017 to December 18, 2017, and to approve the 2017 City Council Meeting Calendar. PURPOSE: Each year the City Clerk’s Office prepares a list of the City Council meetings for the entire year and establishes a calendar for staff, which lists when materials need to be ready for preparation of the City Council agenda and packet. We are continuing the practice of streamlining the process and including any meeting adjustment dates so that City Council does not have to approve individual meeting date changes. 16-5914 16.3 ContractACCEPTING A 2016 GRANT AWARD FROM THE ARIZONA DEPARTMENT OF HOMELAND SECURITY RECOMMENDATION: Accept the Urban Area Security Initiative (UASI) Chemical, Biological, Radiological, Nuclear, Explosive (CBRNE) Response Team Sustainment/Enhancement Grant of $50,000 awarded by the Arizona Department of Homeland Security to the Goodyear Police Department, and authorize the City Manager or designee to execute all documents necessary to administer the grant award, including a FY17 budget transfer for $50,000. PURPOSE: The grant will provide additional funding for equipment and training necessary to further capabilities and enhancements to the program. The UASI CBRNE Response Team will continue to provide response to both local and regional hazardous materials incidents and statewide events while maintaining interoperability communication capabilities through the sustainment grant award. The grant is for $50,000, which is awarded on a reimbursable basis. The grant period is October 1, 2016 through September 30, 2017. 16-5911 16.5 ResolutionEXTENDING THE TEMPORARY SUSPENSION OF PROVISIONS IN THE CITY OF GOODYEAR ENGINEERING DESIGN STANDARDS AND POLICIES MANUAL 2012 EDITION THAT IMPOSE REQUIREMENTS FOR INSTALLATION OF RECLAIMED WATER IMPROVEMENTS RECOMMENDATION: ADOPT RESOLUTION 16-1772 EXTENDING THE TEMPORARY SUSPENSION OF PROVISIONS IN THE CITY OF GOODYEAR ENGINEERING DESIGN STANDARDS AND POLICIES MANUAL 2012 EDITION THAT IMPOSE REQUIREMENTS FOR THE INSTALLATION OF RECLAIMED WATER IMPROVEMENTS; PROVIDING AUTHORIZATION AND DIRECTION TO TAKE ACTIONS NECESSARY TO CARRY OUT INTENT OF RESOLUTION; PROVIDING FOR THE TERMINATION OF SUSPENSION; AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE. 16-5903 16.6 Zoning MatterAMENDING THE PLAT FOR THE COVE AT PALM VALLEY NORTH RECOMMENDATION: Approve the amendment to the final plat of The Cove at Palm Valley North, subject to stipulations. PURPOSE: This amendment adds drainage easements along the common lot lines of the duplexes. These easements are necessary to address the drainage from the roof-lines draining from one lot to another. Other than the new drainage easements, the final plat for The Cove is consistent with the final plat that was approved by City Council on March 14, 2016.
