16-5851 16.5 ContractAMENDMENT TO AN IGA WITH THE REGIONAL PUBLIC TRANSIT AUTHORITY FOR THE PROVISION OF TRANSIT SERVICES RECOMMENDATION: Authorize the City Manager to approve an Amendment to the Intergovernmental Agreement (IGA) between the city of Goodyear and the Regional Public Transit Authority (RPTA) for the provision of transit services in Goodyear. PURPOSE: The current IGA establishes responsibilities for the provision of transit services in Goodyear, including Fixed Route Bus Service, reimbursement of Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) Public Transportation Funds and administration of the ADA Platinum Pass program for a five-year period. The amendment presented for consideration herein, transfers the cost of the ADA Platinum Pass program from the city to the RPTA, adds the obligation for the city to provide Regional Dial-a-Ride (RDAR) service and updates the cost for the city to provide Fixed Route Bus Services (Avondale Zoom service) for Fiscal Year 2017.
