1. The Fire Chief will update the Council on the successful grant for a Mobile Integrated Health Program - Community Paramedicine (MIHP-CP).
2. Authorize the City Manager or designee to execute an Intergovernmental Agreement (IGA) and any other necessary documentation, including budget transfers and authority, to carry out the intent of the IGA, with the cities of Goodyear, Avondale, Peoria and Surprise, and the Sun City Fire and Medical Department, for a Mobile Integrated Health Program - Community Paramedicine (MIHP-CP).
PURPOSE:
Approval of this IGA will allow the city to provide an evolving model of community-based health care in which emergency responders facilitate a more appropriate use of emergency care resources and/or enhance access to primary care for medically underserved populations.
