PURPOSE: The acceptance of the perpetual easements will provide the city with ability to maintain portions of the Goodyear Ballpark perimeter fence and a portion of a retaining wall that were determined to be encroaching on adjacent properties. 16-5822 17.1 ResolutionADOPTION OF THE EL RIO DESIGN GUIDELINES AND PLANNING STANDARDS RECOMMENDATION: ADOPT RESOLUTION NO. 16-1761 ADOPTING THE EL RIO DESIGN GUIDELINES AND PLANNING STANDARDS RELATING TO THE LAND MANAGEMENT AND IMPLEMENTATION OF THE EL RIO WATERCOURSE MASTER PLAN. PURPOSE: The design guidelines were prepared pursuant to an Intergovernmental Agreement between the cities of Avondale, Buckeye and Goodyear, Maricopa County Planning and Development, and the Flood Control District of Maricopa County, to provide a consistent set of goals and policies for development within the Gila River corridor across jurisdictional boundaries. A resolution adopting these guidelines will be considered by the governing bodies for each of the participating local jurisdictions in the upcoming months. 16-5840 17.2 ContractINTERGOVERNMENTAL AGREEMENT FOR MOBILE INTEGRATED HEALTH CARE COMMUNITY PARAMEDICINE PROGRAM RECOMMENDATION: 1. The Fire Chief will update the Council on the successful grant for a Mobile Integrated Health Program - Community Paramedicine (MIHP-CP). 2. Authorize the City Manager or designee to execute an Intergovernmental Agreement (IGA) and any other necessary documentation, including budget transfers and authority, to carry out the intent of the IGA, with the cities of Goodyear, Avondale, Peoria and Surprise, and the Sun City Fire and Medical Department, for a Mobile Integrated Health Program - Community Paramedicine (MIHP-CP). PURPOSE: Approval of this IGA will allow the city to provide an evolving model of community-based health care in which emergency responders facilitate a more appropriate use of emergency care resources and/or enhance access to primary care for medically underserved populations.
