15-5644 16.2 ContractAMENDMENT TO THE ARIZONA MUTUAL AID COMPACT WITH THE ARIZONA DEPARTMENT OF EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT RECOMMENDATION: ADOPT RESOLUTION NO. 15-1719 AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE AN AMENDED MUTUAL AID COMPACT FOR PARTICIPATION IN THE ARIZONA EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT MASTER MUTUAL AID COMPACT BETWEEN THE ARIZONA DIVISION OF EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT AND THE CITY OF GOODYEAR. PURPOSE: The purpose of this Compact is to define for the participating parties the emergency management terms and procedures which will be used among participating parties for dispatching mutual aid assistance to any affected area in accordance with local ordinances, resolutions, emergency plans or agreements. Contracting authority for political subdivisions of Arizona for this Compact is based upon A.R.S. §26-308 which provides that each county and incorporated city and town of the state may appropriate and expend funds, make contracts and obtain and distribute equipment, materials and supplies for emergency management purposes. 15-5650 16.3 ContractDEDICATION OF AN EXCLUSIVE WATER LINE EASEMENT ALONG 143RD AVENUE RECOMMENDATION: Accept the dedication of an Exclusive Water Line Easement adjacent to the easterly side of 143rd Avenue south of Van Buren Street from Word Enterprises, LLC, an Illinois limited liability company. PURPOSE: This dedication is for an Exclusive Water Line Easement on the easterly side of 143rd Avenue along the westerly side of the Michael Lewis Distribution property. This easement is required to accommodate the placement, operation and maintenance of a water meter vault that is being placed outside of the existing public utility easement. WATER RECLAMATION FACILITY RECOMMENDATION: Approve the $580,294.38 contract for the Construction Contract with Felix Construction, Inc. for Digester Rehabilitation to the City of Goodyear 157th Ave. Water Reclamation Facility (WRF), and authorize the Purchase Order to be issued. PURPOSE: Approval of this contract will allow the City to proceed with construction of the Digester Rehabilitation Project at the City of Goodyear 157th Ave. WRF. The Digester Rehabilitation construction project will replace the existing lining for the north digester basin and replace existing equipment. This will provide redundancy for the solids handling facility as well as allow cleaning and inspection of the south digester basin. The project will immediately put in place corrective action in accordance with Maricopa County Environmental Services department requirements. 15-5646 17.2 ContractCONTRACT WITH CAROLLO ENGINEERS FOR THE VADOSE ZONE INJECTION WELL PROJECT AT THE GOODYEAR WATER RECLAMATION FACILITY RECOMMENDATION: Approve the $620,004.00 contract for the Engineering Design and Construction Administration Services Contract with Carollo Engineers, Inc. for the Vadose Zone Injection Well project of the Goodyear Water Reclamation Facility (WRF), and authorize the Purchase Order to be issued. PURPOSE: When the City’s Soil Aquifer Treatment (SAT) recharge facility was identified as the City’s future City Center location and decommissioned in 2008, an alternative recharge system was not implemented to allow the City to significantly benefit from its reclaimed water supplies by keeping water resources within the City nor enhancing its water resources portfolio. Long term storage credits, which are created by recharging reclaimed water underground within the aquifer, are one of the cornerstones of the City’s designation of assured water supplies that provide replenishment for groundwater pumping, make the City more drought-proof, and allow for the indirect potableAPPROVEDPass Action details Video Video
