15-5440 16.2 ResolutionAMENDMENT OF INTERGOVERNMENTAL AGREEMENT FOR INSTALLATION OF CONDUIT, CABLE AND OTHER EQUIPMENT ALONG VAN BUREN STREET RECOMMENDATION: Execute Amendment One of Intergovernmental Agreement (JPA 14-0004967) with the State of Arizona, acting by and through its Department of Transportation, to establish responsibility for funding, purchasing, installation and maintenance responsibilities of fiber optic conduit, cable and equipment along Van Buren Street from Estrella Parkway to Cotton Lane in the City of Goodyear. PURPOSE: This project will install fiber optic conduit, fiber optic cable and ITS equipment along Van Buren Street from Estrella Parkway to Cotton Lane in the City of Goodyear utilizing Congestion Mitigation and Air Quality (CMAQ) funding. It is included in the Maricopa Association of Governments’ (MAG) Transportation Improvement Program (TIP) as a project to help mitigate air quality issues within the MAG Region. PURPOSE: The grant and conveyance of a 10-foot Public Utility Easement and Subordination Agreement “PUE” adjacent to the north side of Sherman Street along the property recently purchased by BASIS Schools, Inc, an Arizona nonprofit corporation. PURPOSE: Staff will review the FY15 second quarter financial updates and year-to-date budget transfers. Council approval of the FY15 year-to-date budget transfers will be requested. Budget transfers are required according to Arizona State Statute and budget law and are necessary for continuance of City operations. An Arizona city or town may not revise its adopted budget to increase total expenditures, but it is permitted to revise budgeted expenditures at the department level by transferring monies between budget items, if certain conditions are met.
