| 1 | 6.4 | | Miscellaneous File | APPROVAL TO USE BUDGETED FLEET REPLACEMENT FUNDS TO PURCHASE THREE STREET SWEEPERS
RECOMMENDATION:
Approve the use of funds from the Fleet Replacement budget for the purchase of a total of three PM-10 certified street sweepers from Freightliner Sterling Western, for a total amount of $705,432. Of this total, a maximum of $229,717 will be reimbursed from Maricopa Association of Governments (MAG).
PURPOSE:
Resolution 08-1255, which became effective on October 22, 2008, requires all budgeted expenditures of $500,000 or more obtain Council approval before the issuance of a Purchase Order, Change Order, or Notice to Proceed. City Council approved the budget in which Fleet Replacement allocations in FY15 identified funds for the purchase of three street sweepers. However, because the Purchase Orders for Fiscal Year 2015 to a single vendor will exceed $500,000, it is being brought before Council for approval. | 1 | 7.2 | | Resolution | RECREATION FACILITY RENTAL FEE POLICY AMENDMENT
RECOMMENDATION:
ADOPT RESOLUTION NO. 14-1679 AUTHORIZING AN AMENDMENT TO THE RECREATION FACILITY RENTAL FEE POLICY.
PURPOSE:
This amendment will allow the Parks and Recreation Department to use discretion when applying facility rental fees to program partners, organizations who wish to contribute capital improvements to city facilities, and those who enter into long term service agreements that benefit the Goodyear community. The current facility rental fee schedule does not contain language that allows the city to recognize program partner contributions. Once the fee schedule is amended, the Parks and Recreation Director will have the ability to negotiate “win-win” situations that may require flexibility in fee applications which is currently absent.
