Council to authorize City Manager to approve a CM@Risk construction contract not to exceed $7,038,443, which includes two Guaranteed Maximum Price (GMP) amounts of: $3,839,405 for the 911 Dispatch Center Project (FA1101) and $3,199,038 for the Goodyear Operations Center Phase I and Phase II Projects (FA1102 and FA 1201) and authorize purchase orders to be issued.
PURPOSE:
The execution of this CM@Risk construction contract allows the City to proceed with construction of the 911 Dispatch Center, as well as construction of Phase I and II of the Goodyear Operations Center, which includes a secure paved and sectioned materials storage area, Public Works and Streets vehicle and equipment storage area, a materials lay down yard, a city fueling facility, vehicle wash bay and a storage area. 1. Appoint Tamee Gresett to the Goodyear Citizen Corps Council to represent Education for a two-year term expiring on March 18, 2015.
2. City Clerk will administer the Oath of Loyalty to the new Goodyear Citizen Corps Council member.
PURPOSE:
The Goodyear Citizen Corps Council (GCCC) was created in March, 2010 to foster stronger local interest in emergency preparedness and community volunteerism. The Council is composed of members from four volunteer groups: Volunteers in Police Service (VIPS), Fire Corps, Community Emergency Response Team (CERT), and Neighborhood Watch, as well as members from the faith community, the education community, and local businesses. The GCCC encourages discussion between these groups and Goodyear’s emergency personnel to improve working relationships and spread the mission of safety and volunteerism. A subcommittee of the City Council, composed of Council members Wally Campbell and Bill Stipp, has recommended that Tamee Gresett be appointed to the Goodyear Citizen Corps Council for a two-y | APPROVED | Pass |
