1.ADOPT RESOLUTION #13-1562 AUTHORIZING THE CITY TO ENTER INTO AGREEMENT #13-2614 WITH MARICOPA COUNTY AND VARIOUS CITIES AND TOWNS OF THIS COUNTY IN ORDER FOR THE CITY OF GOODYEAR TO RECEIVE $7,948 IN GRANT FUNDS FROM THE EDWARD BYRNE MEMORIAL JUSTICE ASSISTANCE GRANT PROGRAM AND AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE ALL DOCUMENTS RELATED TO THIS APPLICATION.
2. Approve a budget transfer of $7,948 from the grant contingency account to the Police Supplies account #713-2110-421-61-26.
PURPOSE:
Maricopa County administers the federal funds received from the Edward Byrne Memorial Justice Assistance Grant (JAG) Program which provides states and units of local governments with critical funding necessary to support a range of program areas in law enforcement. The JAG program is intentionally broad to allow local jurisdictions to receive support based on criminal control and prevention in their communities. RECOMMENDATION:
Approve and authorize the City Manager to execute a Reimbursement Agreement for Special Public Improvement Cost Recovery Regional Wastewater Trunk Lines with Centex Homes, a Nevada General Partnership, providing for the reimbursement of costs incurred to construct certain of the Special Public Improvements identified in Cost Recovery Resolution of Intention No. 06-1065 and authorizing the City Manager or his designee to take all actions and execute all documents necessary to carry out the intent of the agreement.
PURPOSE:
This is an agreement with Centex Homes that will provide for the reimbursement of the costs Centex Homes incurred in constructing certain wastewater trunk lines in the West Goodyear Central Planning Area. The wastewater trunk lines that have been constructed provide a regional benefit and were identified as special public improvements in Cost Recovery Resolution of Intention No. 06-1065.
