PURPOSE:
The City of Goodyear has deployed a CBRNE response unit using Arizona Department of Homeland Security (AZDoHS) Urban Area Security Initiative (UASI) funding since 2007. Reallocated funds have been awarded for the Goodyear program to enhance service through improved search, rescue, and hazard detection capabilities by purchasing two new gas meters and a utility trailer.
