DECLARATION OF PORTIONS OF GOODYEAR BOULEVARD AND SHERMAN STREET AS PUBLIC ROADWAYS AND THE DECLARATION OF A PUBLIC UTILITY EASEMENT ALONG SHERMAN STREET

RECOMMENDATION:
1. ADOPT RESOLUTION NO. 15-1693 AUTHORIZING THE ESTABLISHMENT OF A PUBLIC STREET FOR A SECTION OF SHERMAN STREET TO BE CONSTRUCTED, OPENED AND MAINTAINED BY THE CITY; REQUIRING RECORDATION; AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
2. ADOPT RESOLUTION NO. 15-1694 AUTHORIZING THE ESTABLISHMENT OF A PUBLIC STREET FOR A SECTION OF GOODYEAR BOULEVARD TO BE CONSTRUCTED, OPENED AND MAINTAINED BY THE CITY; REQUIRING RECORDATION; AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
3. ADOPT RESOLUTION NO. 15-1695 AUTHORIZING THE ESTABLISHMENT OF A PUBLIC UTILITY EASEMENT ADJACENT TO A SECTION OF SHERMAN STREET TO BE ADMINISTERED AND MAINTAINED BY THE CITY; REQUIRING RECORDATION; AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
PURPOSE:
The declaration of portions of the City 100 Acre Parcel (located at northwest corner of Estrella Parkway and the alignment of North Goodyear Boulevard), for Public Streets and a Public Utility Easement are needed for the construction of portions of Goodyear Boulevard North and Sherman Street along with the placement of utilities. The construction of portions of these roads and utilities are required by the Purchase Agreement entered into with Basis Schools, Inc. in October of 2014. (Linda R. Beals, Real Estate Coordinator)
