APPOINTMENTS TO THE PLANNING AND ZONING COMMISSION

RECOMMENDATION:
1. Recognize Lucas Schlosser and Leslie Miller for their contributions to the City of Goodyear during their time on the Planning and Zoning Commission.
2. Re-appoint Vickie Hamilton and Ryan Peters to the Planning and Zoning Commission, each for a three-year term expiring February 9, 2018, or until their successors are appointed and qualified.
3. Appoint Jason Kish to the Planning and Zoning Commission, for a three-year term expiring February 9, 2018, or until their successors are appointed and qualified.
4. Appoint Kathleen Molony to the Planning and Zoning Commission, to fill Leslie Miller's unexpired term, expiring January 31, 2016.
5. The City Clerk will administer the Oath of Loyalty to the four Planning and Zoning Commission members.
PURPOSE:
The three Planning and Zoning Commission members expired on January 31, 2015 and one member resigned as of January 5, 2015. Applications were solicited and the Council Subcommittee for Boards, Commissions and Committees met to review applications, interview applicants and make a recommendation for appointment of Commission members. The Subcommittee is recommending the re-appointment of Vickie Hamilton and Ryan Peters to the Planning and Zoning Commission each for an additional three-year term and the appointment of Jason Kish as a new member to the Planning and Zoning Commission for a three-year term. The Council Subcommittee recommended Kathleen Molony to fill Leslie Miller's unexpired term, expiring January 31, 2016. (Katie Wilken, Interim Planning Manager)
