RECOMMENDATION:

PURPOSE:

The Goodyear Fire Department’s Urban Area Security Initiative (UASI) Grant Award will provide funding for employees to attend the National Homeland Security Conference, as well as the International Hazardous Materials Response Teams Conference.  In addition to attending these conferences, monies have been designated for the purchase of specific hazmat equipment. The grant period is October 1, 2016 through September 30, 2017. (Tom Cole, Deputy Chief)
