Title: RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING IGA WITH TOHONO O'ODHAM NATION FOR GRANT AWARD RECOMMENDATION: ADOPT RESOLUTION 13-1575, AUTHORIZING THE CITY TO ENTER INTO AGREEMENT #14-2723 WITH THE TOHONO O'ODHAM NATION FOR $16,000 IN GRANT FUNDS FOR THE PURCHASE OF TWO SEGWAYS FOR THE GOODYEAR POLICE DEPARTMENT. PURPOSE: The Tohono O'odham Nation shares a portion of their revenues from tribal gaming directly with local governments to benefit the general public. In June 2013, the Goodyear Police Department applied for a grant for two Segway vehicles. The request for this equipment is consistent with the priorities identified by the Tohono O'odham Nation for their 12% Revenue Sharing program. In September 2013, the City was notified by the Tohono O'odham Nation that the grant application was approved.
